LGD-4033 (VK5211, Ligandrol)

Ligandrol (LGD-4033 or VK5211 ) is a nonsteroidal selective androgen receptor modulator (SARMs). Originally it was developed to fight different muscular disorders (atrophies) and osteoporosis. The drug can enlarge lean muscle mass, keep strength and muscle tissue in aged people and even fight certain forms of cancer.

The magic of this substance is in its extremely high specificity to androgen receptor. When it binds to the receptor it triggers an anabolic effect in muscles, thus increasing their mass and strength. Currently Ligandrol (LGD-4033) is considered number one among other SARMs in terms of safety, and it already passed through Phase I of clinical trials. Though this substance is as potent as steroid, it has less side effects. For instance, it doesn’t cause androgen related side-effects like baldness, acne, enlarged prostate etc.

Doses

 You can buy Ligandrol as a solution. Its half-life is 1 - 1.5 days. The recommended dosage of ligandrol is 5-10 mg ED for 8 weeks (bulking cycle), and 3-5 mg ED for 8 weeks (cutting cycle). Nevertheless, post cycle therapy is still required after that. The other positive moment is that it has no water retention, which makes you look puffy and hides the shape of your muscles.

Side-effects

According to tests, 3 weeks of ligandrol administration at the dosage of only 1 mg ED caused the increase of lean muscle mass by 1.5 kg. At the same time it didn’t increase the fat volume. LGD-4033 is well tolerated. During tests when 76 healthy people took it at the dosage 0.1, 0.3, or 1.0 mg for 3 weeks no side-effects were revealed. No side-effects were also revealed in a test with a single dosage of 22mg.

It doesn’t affect the level of hemoglobin, prostate-specific antigen, alanine and aspartame transaminases. However, the reduction of the testosterone secretion can be observed. A significant decrease of FSH and testosterone is detected at the dose of only 1 mg. However after discontinuation the hormonal level return to norm in 1 month.
