TB-500 (Thymosin Beta 4)

TB-500 is a synthetic analogue of a natural peptide - thymosin beta 4 (TB4). This biologically active peptide can be found in all human cells and tissues. Initially it was considered a thymic hormone, but now we know that thymosin produces great diversity of effects inside the organism. Such as anti-inflammatory, tissue regeneration, cell differentiation and so on.

In clinical practice TB-500 is mostly used to speed up healing of wounds, burns, ulcers and to treat postinfarction and ischemic conditions. Due to its potent healing capacity and also ability to increase endurance, TB-500 became very popular among athletes of all types of sports.

Though it is considered “almost undetectable” in doping tests, it can be detected by liquid chromatography.

The Effects of TB-500

Dosage and usage

TB-500 is taken either subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The major application of Thymosin Beta 4 is treatment of injuries or heart protection. There are different patterns of TB 500 administration.

Initial phase lasts for one month: the usual dosage is 2-6mg/week, which should be divided into two injections (for instance, 2mg on Tuesday and 2mg on Friday). Supportive phase (1-2 months): 2-4mg/week, also divided into 2 injections.

According to alternative pattern:

During initial phase you take 10mg/1^st week (1-2mg/day), then 5mg/week (also divided into 2 injections) during five weeks; during supportive phase you take 10mg/month (2mg/every 6 days). This scheme is very popular among athletes.

Altogether you need 18 vials (2mg each) for the first 6 weeks and 5 vials a month for supportive phase.

It is necessary to cool the vial to room temperature before dilution. Then add water for injections (along the wall of a vial), then stir with rotating movements. You can store solution in refrigerator for about 8 days. It is not recommended to keep solution in the frozen state for more than one month (it’s better to use physiological saline in this case). The optimal temperature of storage is 2-8 C.

Side effects

During clinical trials no toxic or adverse effects were revealed even at the dosage of 1260mg.
